Buhay at Tinig ng Kalinga sa Kulturang Popular

Ang pag-aaral na ito ay isang masusing pagsisiyasat sa buhay na perspektibo ng henerasyong Gen Z hinggil sa kanilang katutubong identidad sa gitna ng mabilis na agos ng modernisasyon. Sa gitna ng makabagong teknolohiya at pandaigdigang impluwensya, nilayong suriin ng pananaliksik kung paano pa rin nananatiling matatag ang pundasyon ng kulturang Kalinga sa kaisipan at puso ng mga kabataan. Binigyang-diin sa pag-aaral ang mga sagradong konsepto ng Binnadang (kolektibong pagtutulungan) at Paniyaw (moral na bawal at paggalang sa kalikasan at Lumikha), na nagsisilbing gabay sa kanilang pang-araw-araw na pakikipamuhay at pakikipagkapwa-tao.
Ginamit sa pananaliksik ang kualitatibong disenyo upang bigyang-boses ang dalawampu’t dalawang (22) mag-aaral mula sa HUMSS strand ng Malagnat National High School sa Pinukpuk, Kalinga. Sa pamamagitan ng malalimang panayam at masusing obserbasyon, kinalap ang mga personal na karanasan at saloobin ng mga kalahok na may halo-halong pinagmulan, kabilang ang mga may lahing Itawis. Ang metodolohiyang ito ay nagbigay-daan upang mailahad ang tunay na "humanized" na naratibo ng mga kabataan—ang kanilang pakikibaka, pag-angkop, at ang unti-unting paghubog ng kanilang identidad bilang mga makabagong katutubo.
Ipinapakita ng mga natuklasan na ang mga tradisyunal na halaga ay hindi lamang mga luma o kupas na paniniwala, kundi mga dinamikong prinsipyo na isinasabuhay ng Gen Z sa makabagong paraan. Bagama’t lantad sa digital na mundo, nananatiling buhay ang takot at paggalang sa Paniyaw at ang diwa ng Binnadang sa loob ng kanilang paaralan at komunidad. Gayunpaman, lumabas din sa pag-aaral ang pangangailangan para sa mas malinaw na kontekstwalisasyon ng mga konseptong tulad ng Ngilin at Bain upang hindi ito mabaon sa limot o maling interpretasyon sa harap ng mga panlabas na kultura.
Bilang konklusyon, pinatutunayan ng pag-aaral na ang pag-unawa ng Gen Z sa kulturang Kalinga ay isang patunay ng katatagan o resiliency. Ang transisyon mula sa tradisyunal tungo sa makabagong perspektibo ay hindi nangangahulugan ng pagkalimot, kundi isang ebolusyon ng pagpapahalaga. Inirerekomenda ng mananaliksik ang patuloy na integrasyon ng mga katutubong kaalaman sa kurikulum at ang paggamit ng mga makabagong plataporma upang mas mapayabong pa ang pagmamalaki ng mga kabataang Kalinga sa kanilang natatanging pamanang lahi.
